We used to associate the very concept of mature skin with age. It is generally accepted that women only after 35-40 years of age begin to worry about wrinkles, reduced elasticity and skin turgor. But such a gradation according to the “passport” age is not entirely correct, although it is undoubtedly convenient. About what kind of skin should be considered mature and how to care for it, you will learn from the following article.

Attributing the skin to mature according to age is rather erroneous, as already noted. And this is due not so much to individual characteristics, but to the properties of individual skin types. For example, women with oily skin acquire wrinkles much later than women with mixed or dry skin types. The dependence is obvious: thanks to the work of the sebaceous glands, skin cells do not experience such an urgent need for moisture, although its complete absence is also not true.

One way or another, over time, the female body undergoes a series of hormonal changes, which will certainly affect the condition of the skin. The production of collagen and elastin decreases, and those very sebaceous glands, with the work of which we fought so long and painfully before, gradually reduce secretion themselves. Cell nutrition, their natural protection and hydration are reduced significantly. Of course, it is impossible to bring the skin to such a state, so we are also gradually starting to change the set of cosmetics. That is why the judgment about the condition of the skin by age is not correct. You can’t fall asleep with perfectly even skin and wake up with wrinkles. Everything comes gradually, the body changes, the skin changes, the attitude towards one's appearance changes, and care products also change.

The most important thing in skin care is proper cleansing. Aggressive products with SLS should be excluded from use - they greatly dry the skin. At this age, a hydrophilic oil or gentle cleansing foam is ideal, which can additionally provide the skin with moisture. Try to take the advice of Korean women and not dry your face with a towel. Firstly, you will reduce the stretching of the skin of the face, and secondly, by applying funds to a damp face, you provide additional hydration to the skin.

On cleansed skin, you should apply a product selected in accordance with your age, preferably one that contains hyaluronic acid and other active ingredients that prevent skin aging. Also a separate remedy for thinner and more delicate skin around the eyes: it will make fine wrinkles and circles under the eyes less visible.

Be sure to do moisturizing masks twice a week. The best time for the procedure is in the morning. It is during this period that mature skin most actively absorbs the moisturizing components of the product used. No less useful will be nourishing and lifting masks. Gentle scrubbing agents activate cells and even out complexion.

Massage plays a very important role in the care of mature skin. It is done with the application of an oily agent with movements of the fingertips. It is necessary to move from the center of the face to its periphery. The duration of the procedure is at least 3 minutes. Massage should be done every day or every other day, but not less often.

Women also need to remember that the condition of the skin in adulthood directly depends on the lifestyle, following a few tips will help maintain not only the skin, but the whole body in good condition:

• drink your daily water norm to compensate for the lack of moisture;
• about 3 hours a day to engage in active outdoor activities (work in the summer cottage, walking, running, etc.);
• adhere to a proper balanced diet;
• sleep 7-8 hours;
• stop smoking.
And all this is useful to adhere to at any age, but after 35 years - especially, because the skin becomes more vulnerable.
